- Non-Saudis: Experience must be at least one year, except for graduates of Saudi universities.
- Saudis: Experience is not required, but there should be no discontinuation of professional practice for more than two years.
Resident : 1- 2 years of experience as a specialist dentist in your home country after the post-graduate degree.
Registrar > 2 years of experience as a specialist dentist in your home country after the post-graduate degree
Senior registrar > 3 years of experience as a specialist dentist in your home country after the post-graduate degree.
SCFHS Professional classification - Documents that require to be submitted
Let’s break down the essential documents you need to submit for your SCFHS professional classification. 📝
- Official qualifications / degree – BDS and MDS submitted for classification –
When submitting your qualifications, make sure that the following details are included for your BDS and MDS degrees:
- Date of issuance
- Date of graduation
- Certificate title
- Specialization
All qualifications prior to the qualification submitted for classification, for example: if the classification is needed for classifying as a consultant in the sub-specialty, a bachelor’s degree certificate must be attached, in addition to the general specialty certificate and sub-specialty certificate.
- Dataflow Verification / PSV report (SCFHS approved company) of submitted qualification / degree for the following documents:
The verification result of qualifications issued outside the Kingdom, considering the following:
– If the classification application is based on a bachelor’s degree only, the bachelor’s certificate must be authenticated
– If the classification application is based on postgraduate higher degrees, it is a must to authenticate the higher degrees without the need to authenticate the bachelor’s degree.
The following cases exempted from the verification requirement
- Qualifications obtained by Saudis from outside the Kingdom and have been equalized by the Ministry of Education
- the recognized qualifications issued by academic and professional entities inside the Kingdom
- Equalization of the Ministry of Education for the health qualification
Equalization certificate issued by the Ministry of Education for Saudis with academic qualifications from outside of the Kingdom (Bachelor – Physician – Higher Diploma – Master’s – PhD or Doctor of Philosophy )
- An official description of the training or the passed subjects to obtain the qualification, specially the clinical training required for the higher certificates
Specify program details (duration, training start date, and completion date). The academic record indicating the program details, duration, and practical or internship program specification (Bachelor – Physician – Higher Diploma – Master’s – PhD or Doctor of Philosophy ) Certificate of completion of training for the higher professional certificates (Fellowship – Board)
- Professional Registration Certificate with verification letter
Your registration certificate must be:
- Valid
- Issued by the relevant authority in your home country
- Attach a verification letter for extra credibility.
In the absence of an official body for professional registration, an official letter issued by the Ministry of Health in the applicant’s country must be attached. In this case, the verification of the experience letter from the approved company is enough.
